“Be real. Earn it. Have fun.”
Those words are ingrained in the fabric of SECURA’s workplace culture, and they capture how our associates conduct themselves on a daily basis. With each associate living those ideas, you get a truly special workplace culture — one worthy of a feature on the “World’s Greatest!” television program.
Produced by How2Media, the “World’s Greatest!” cable series covers “the story behind the story” for businesses. This is the first time the series has featured a company for its workplace culture, with other episodes focusing on products, places, companies, and people.
How SECURA was selected for “World’s Greatest!”
SECURA was recognized by the media company after it conducted workplace culture research with many businesses from several industries. The genuine culture, plus the many benefits and services available to employees, helped our company stand out from the crowd.
Producers of the show noted the resonance of the “Be real. Earn it. Have fun.” motto among associates — a motto that came directly from SECURA’s President and CEO, Dave Gross.
“In a world in which so many decisions are driven by profit margins and stock earnings, it’s important to carve your own path to success,” Gross said. “Our challenge is to be authentic, work hard to win and retain business, and enjoy the time we spend together as we exceed our agents’ and policyholders’ expectations.”
SECURA’s workplace culture earns recognition beyond “World’s Greatest!”
The short segment in “World’s Greatest!” is supported by recognition from other workplace culture evaluators. Certified by Great Place to Work® and ranked on three of Fortune’s top workplace lists —100 Best Medium Workplaces, 100 Best Workplaces for Women, and 30 Best Workplaces for Financial Services and Insurance — our offices have become well-known for their strong culture. We were also awarded the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) highest level Platinum Well Workplace Award, ranking as one of America’s healthiest companies.
While third-party recognition puts our people and culture in the spotlight, one statistic from the company’s 2017 Workplace Strength Survey depicts our company’s culture.
In the survey, 100 percent of participating associates agreed with the statement “I feel my core values align with SECURA’s mission, vision, culture, and the work I do.”
